One important assumption underlies the Workshop: puppets really do work. They are extraordinary in their power to maintain and direct attention in a group. Their impact has been described in different ways but the underlying theme is their unique and compelling hold on the human psyche.
But then the question must asked, Is it really true that puppets work? Is the assumption correct? Using the Workshop's forums for on-line communication and documentation, even the most cursory insights become significant when they are recorded and gain visibility in the process of sharing ideas.
