Orientation
If we agree that the broad cross-section of kids in regular classrooms need far greater doses of visual, emotive, kinetic, hands-on activity and experiences that lead to real learning and understanding of information, then kids with learning issues and Individual Education Programs (IEPs) need even more. Today's kids will inherit a world and workplace that will increasingly require a more visual and technical orientation to learning, creative thinking and problem-solving.
Whether a child is equipped with a bona fide IEP and is qualified to receive 'Learning Disability services, or is 'merely' a smart but hyperactive class misfit, the fact is there are a lot of these kids who do not find school easy.
