Post subject: The term 'Education' Defined |
Here is a working definition of Education as you explore and use this web site.
Education in its current state emulates the machine-like workings of a factory focused on numbers and output. Properly aligned, in practice and principle, with the basic drive to learn in all living things, learning, should be a dynamic, fully engaged state of mindfulness. More specifically aligned with play, education should occur in a 'learning habitat' in which young human beings feel safe to explore their nature and the aspects of the world at large, and to challenge themselves to grow and reach based on intrinsically (and appropriate extrinsically) defined values. Play is a form of learning behavior that has guided human exploration and discovery, and should be established both as birthright of the young and the scientific foundation of education.
